I will eventually put up the picture of the final woven piece I did, however I could not find it in Brandt's art gallery. Anyway I love painting these fish! Especially the red one, the blue one was rushed and I did not get to put the time and effort I wanted in it. I liked the subject matter and the contrasting hot and cool colors. The actual weaving of the piece was difficult, but I had a cool effect in the end.
Had a problem with the file. I think it went corrupt. We'll need to take another one.
ReplyDeleteMer,
ReplyDeleteThis piece shows great contrast and it really works in the weaving. I also love the subject matter you chose. I agree with Brandt about what he said about the eye. The typography pulls it all together :)
I really like the image that you chose. Very cool color schemes. If I had to make a suggestion, I would like to see the area surrounding the fish in a color rather than black and white. I think that your final product was really great and you had success with getting each image to line up perfectly.
ReplyDeleteMeredith! You're amazzzzing at painting! You did a great job on mixing the colors and I really the image-like Abby mentioned :) I deffinately think you have found your knack with painting!
